The PGA's Prove to be UNPREDICTABLE!

In a shocker, 'The King's Speech' BEATS 'The Social Network'

For months, 'The Social Network' has been "king" of the vast majority of critics and association awards. In this particular instance, the PGA thought otherwise. In what was thought to be a LOCK for the 'best picture' OSCAR, 'The Social Network' lost to 'The King's Speech'.

By inflicting this first, but painful wound in the armor of “The Social Network,” “The King’s Speech,” a moving drama from director Tom Hooper about King George VI’s efforts to conquer his stuttering, is now a serious contender for the Oscar that had seemed all but destined for the edgier David Fincher movie. Let us remember, the PGA and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have agreed on best picture the past three years.

While 'The Social Network' is expected to reap in nominations come Tuesday morning, a win for best picture isn't as certain! Will the 'Director's Guild' and 'SAG' agree with the 'PGA' or go the route of the 'Golden Globes'...stay tuned!
